Celebrated Princess Pay's 7 month birthday by getting her ears pierced and taking her to Home Depot for the millionth time this week!

Ears Pierced

On Pay's 7 month birthday she got her ears pierced!  

IT IS SO CUTE!!!!

She did awesome!  She cried for about a minute and then was happy as could be.

7 months

Payton is really beginning to develop her own unique personality.  She is such a fun, happy, and chubby baby!

SHE NOW...

sticks her tongue out A LOT

will grab a toy in each hand and hit them together to make noise

still doesn't enjoy being on her tummy

but is beginning to push up onto her knees

grabs my hands when I'm clapping and thinks it's the funnest thing in the world

has a real hardy laugh

LOVES it when people give her attention and will get excited and smile back at them

rolls both ways {back to tummy...tummy to back}

is quite the cuddler

It is rapidly getting more difficult to take this little ball of fire's picture!  She doesn't want to hold still or look at me/the camera.  Plus, this day that I took these picture, she wasn't in the best mood.  I was able to capture a few smiles, but not as many as usual.

Independence Day 2013

This 4th of July we had Nick's parents, Cory, Amber, Brooke, and Tatum over for a BBQ!  Shay got called out to work so he couldn't make it.  We had yummy ribs, potato salad, chips and homemade green salsa, veggies and dip, jalapeno poppers, strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and peanut butter ice cream.  The weather wasn't bad so we spent the majority of the afternoon outside hanging out in the grass.  I even got the kiddie pool out for Payton, Brooke, and Tatum.  And, of course, I took some pictures.

6 months

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old.  Here's how much she has grown and what she's been doing and has learned this past month.

SHE IS NOW...
26.25 inches long {65th percentile}
17 lbs 2 oz {70th percentile}

AND SHE...

sits up like a PRO

can reach things far and sits back up with ease

LOVES watching Baby Einstein {Baby Bach and Baby Noah}

still hates being on her tummy and rolls right onto her back immediately

is eating baby food...prunes are her fave :)

hardly cries in her car seat
loves to see other babies and kids and will smile and get excited when she sees them

moves her arms up and down really fast...like she's trying to fly

will scream and laugh at the most random things...especially ceiling fans

scoots backwards in her walker

loves books and cups more than most toys

AND

has become interested in my hair...and pulling it!!

She's such a fun baby!
