April 2014

This month Payton has become a parrot - repeating nearly everything we say. I should say, she TRIES to repeat everything we say. You can't always understand her. But she tries. And it is adorable.

Seriously, put her outside and she'll pick flowers to her heart's desire.
She can't wait to swim in our neighbor's pool.
 She's escaping now :(
We watched the Women's Conference from home. Pay fell asleep.
COSTCO is coming to The Woodlands!  This is the plot of land that it will be on on the NE corner of the 45 and 242. Nick will transfer to this one when it opens by November!
She got a new chair and loves it.
 Such a lady!
Left Pay with Grammy so we could go to TUCANO'S for my 29th birthday!
That is a beetle she's about to eat.
 Our ward's Easter Egg hunt
An old man walked this dog to the park and plopped it right in the swing and pushed it. He loved it and so did Pay. She wouldn't stop giggling!
First of all, I was the cool mom that forgot a basket, but we at least had this cute princess bag.
Secondly, Pay didn't really get the idea she could put the eggs in her bag. She had more fun holding them all in her hands.
This girl looked BEAUTIFUL in her Easter dress.
In January I started teaching a free Zumba class at the church. It's a blast and we have new people attend each week. On average we have 15-20 people attend each week.  It's so much fun!  It feels good to be teaching again.
Girlfriend's first REAL pig tails!
She loves her Lalaloopsies and cowgirl hat from Grandma Susie
She LOVES her Uncle Cory, especially when he takes her on the 4-Wheeler.
 Twinners!
She really loves pulling her wagon around.
She still loves to go on walks!

March 2014

March is the month when Pay began to become more of a toddler than a baby.  Not only is she moving around a lot better/quicker, but she is trying so desperately to communicate with us.

Pay said her first official word {other than momma and dada}...she said CHEESE!  Well, more like "Chzzzzzz." But it is adorable. I guess I feed her a lot of cheese. I just asked her, "What's this?" while cutting some up and she excitedly shouted,"CHZZZZZZZ!" I asked her a few more times to make sure it wasn't a fluke and each time I asked she said the same thing.

Soon after she began trying to say other words. Most don't sound anything like what it is, but she is really trying.

She can also say CRACKER "craka" now.

Her stats:
30 1/4 inches long {40th percentile}
20 lbs 2 oz {35th percentile}

We visited the Scardino's in our ward and had a blast seeing all their animals---goats {including 3 kids}, a dog, chickens, and bunnies.

Spent time out front and became obsessed with picking flowers

The Disney movie Frozen came out and we became big fans.  Pay was completely entranced with it and immediately began dancing with each song.

She began to climb. Boo.

Here are some more random pictures throughout the month.

February 2014

I would say that this month Payton has become an expert explorer and that is ALL she wants to do. No longer is she content with just sitting there and focusing on one toy for longer than a second.

She is also becoming quite the little dancer.  She bends her arms, so that her hands are up by her arm pits, and then moves her shoulders and elbows around.  She also has learned how to kick and will kick to her heart's desire while she's dancing.  And when you tell her to kick she will kick.  She's pretty good at following instructions :)

We set up this barrier with the ottoman to keep her in the living room.  She's already trying to break out either by attempting to move the ottoman and other boxes in the way or by attempting to climb over. I have a feeling we'll need to get a gate.
Daddy likes to tickle her and hold her upside down. Check out all those teeth!
Remember that one time when she had BLUE eyes?  Yeah, they're BROWN now like mine :)
Our little dancing queen with her awesome bed head.
We had a couple of bellow freezing nights and we woke up in an icy wonderland!
Cousin time! I watched Brooke and Tatum while Amber went to the doctor-she just found out she's pregnant with #3!
